A celebration you won’t want to miss out on is Cornucopia Whistler 2019. This annual festival takes place in November bringing everyone together to celebrate food and drink creations from our local communities and beyond.
There are 11 days of Cornucopia Whistler events to immerse yourself in and there’s a little something for everybody. Whether you are wanting to attend for the parties, masterclasses, the brunches or luncheons – you will walk away appreciating the bounty of deliciousness this festival has to offer.
What is Cornucopia Whistler All About?
Cornucopia Whistler 2019 is an 11-day celebration starting on Thursday, November 7th to Sunday, November 17th. The festival is a spectacular celebration of tastes from the Pacific Northwest. It originates from the idea to blend wild traditional elements with the refined.
Enjoy all the tasty temptations alongside friends and family. There will be over 90 food and drink events to choose from during this special week from wine tastings, interactive seminars, cocktail creations, chef lunches and so much more!

Local Tip: All Cornucopia Whistler events have a dress code of “Whistler Casual.” This means whatever you feel most comfortable in whether that’s having a toque on your head or in your party heels, you do what makes you feel comfortable and ready to have a good time.

To provide you with the Coles Notes version, let’s get into the Signature Tasting events that happen once per day. These are the go-to, must-do’s and are the largest events from the Cornucopia week.
November 7th: House Party: Best of B.C
- Location: Whistler Conference Centre
- Time: 6pm-9pm
- Price: $52.00
This event kicks off the Cornucopia festival with an epic House Party. Sample the variety of wines, breweries, and distilleries from our very own backyard. This event is provided by Sidecut Modern Steak & Bar with a delicious barbeque. This is a self serve style barbeque with drink sampling booths throughout the room.
November 8th: Cellar Door Grand Tasting
What better way to get into the festivities? Cornucopia 2019

If you are a fanatic for fine wines this is the event for you! Cellar door hosts the winemakers of the finest wines and champagnes for you to sip and savour. There is a range of white, red and sparkling wines. There is also some food tasting from the sea to sky vendors to balance out all the wine tasting.
November 9th: Crush Grand Tasting
- Location: Whistler Conference Centre
- Time: 8:30pm-11pm
- Price: $91.00
This is one of the major events of the Cornucopia festival showcasing the wineries from BC and beyond along with various bites from the Sea to Sky restaurants. It is a fantastic event for mingling and socializing. It always has an enjoyable atmosphere.
November 10th: With a Twist Silent Disco
- Location: Whistler Conference Centre
- Time: 7:30pm-10:30pm
- Price: $35.00
This event is exactly how it sounds including local DJs and mixologists. When you arrive you will receive a pair of headphones, a glass, and your drink tokens. Tune in with your favourite DJ and work your way through the different cocktail creations the mixologists have made from Whistler’s top restaurants and bars. Music and drinks will bound to get you on the dance floor!
November 14th: Sashay Fillet! Whistler

Cornucopia Whistler 2019 introducing a new event to this November’s line up. Culinary and drag will intermingle into one! This special night is full of great food and outstanding performances. This event is presented by Eat North. Eat North is an online platform that tells stories of the Canadian Food Scene and the people behind that food scene. They get to the point of why food matters to a diverse culture of Canadians.
November 15th: Night Market: Taste of the World
- Location: Whistler Conference Centre
- Time: 8pm-10:30pm
- Price: $49.00
This event celebrates the global flavours of the night market. You will receive a passport upon entry to allow you to travel around exploring the flavours. Presented by 12 signature creations by sea to sky restaurants and vendors.
November 16th: Poured Grand Tasting
A last big event to dig into at Whistler Cornucopia 2019

- Time: 7pm-10pm

This event includes all the drinks to sip away at. Everything from gin, vodka, scotch, beer, and wine. Pace yourself through this event as it’s easy to get carried away! A must-do social event of the week. During the offseason, this is the perfect type of event for your corporate office activities. This event has several sampling stations that fill up the room.
Nourish Yourself With These Health and Wellness Events
Cornucopia brings you the nourish series, events you do not want to miss out on to keep you in tip-top shape. These instructional tasting workshops discuss the importance of local and healthy ingredients to create meaningful meals for your physical wellbeing. Learn about the stories of these talented chefs and where their inspiration emerges from.
1.The Nomad Cook Presents- Introduction to Terpene Brunch

This event features Chef Travis Petersen who will prepare a 3-course brunch. Terpenes are known to have therapeutic effects and bring beautiful flavours to the plate. Building the nomad cook brand Chef Travis travels coast to coast hosting pop up dinners.
2. Wolfgang Sterr
Date: Sunday November 10th, 2019

Price: $34.00
Wolfgang Sterr is Whistler Blackcomb’s Executive Chef who leads the food and beverage division. Through his Whistler history and original season out in 1991, he fell in love with the region being quick to develop his skills in the culinary art. He believes in sustainability and local products.
3. Fun Fuelling for the Wellness and Strength

Join Olympian Britt Janyk Tilston and Wellness Specialist Astrid Cameron Kent for a brunch. Explore using organic whole food concentrates with over 45 fruits and vegetables to add to the brunch. Enjoy the plant-based protein smoothies packed with all the nutrition.
