An early start on your birthday might not sound like a great idea. But you’ll be glad of the early alarm when you’re racing through the backcountry in an off-road buggy. Bouncing through pristine mountain wilderness with your best friends in tow, you’ll find yourself feeling very lucky to be growing another year older. Early in the morning, you’ll have the whole place to yourself, and you might even spy some local wildlife.
You can book a sunrise RZR tour through the backcountry of Cougar Mountain through Whistler Adventures. And if you really can’t get out of bed in the morning (or want to fit in a tasty birthday brunch), they also run tours throughout the day until the early evening.
- An Adrenaline-Fuelled Afternoon with Whistler Bungee
What makes a more memorable birthday than throwing yourself off a bridge?! Drag your bravest friends down to Whistler Bungee and take the leap of faith together. The bungee jump is over 160ft high above the rushing waters of the Cheakamus River. Your knees might be knocking as your creep towards the edge, but once the adrenaline kicks in your fears will be forgotten.
Whistler Bungee is located just south of Whistler and offer jumps all day every day (even in the winter). Pretty much anyone can jump, and if you’re feeling scared you can take the leap with a friend on a tandem jump. Fair warning – if the bungee staff find out it’s your birthday, they might just threaten to push you off the edge!

For a truly magical end to your birthday, explore the hidden valley of Vallea Lumina. This enchanting night walk puts an other-worldly spin on the forest of Whistler. With light, sound, and music, it transforms the rainforest into something totally unique and very special. You’ll follow the story of two lost hikers and discover the real magic of Whistler.

Merlins Pub in the Upper Village is a true locals’ haunt where apres very quickly goes off the hook. The compulsory Merlins shot-ski is the perfect start to a big Whistler night out.
Some of our other favourite apres spots include the edgy, stylish Handlebar Pub, the original Whistler apres pub Dusty’s in Creekside, or the sun-soaked patio outside Earls right in the heart of the village. But honestly, it’s hard to go wrong with any Whistler apres bar – especially once the beers start flowing.
Whistler Bars Not To Miss on Your Birthday
As night starts to fall, it’s time to take the night to the next level. Head over to locals favourite Tapleys – an old-school sports bar where every night is a Saturday night. Play a few games of darts, take some bets on skee-ball or enjoy the live local music. If it’s fun and games you’re after, another great stop is the Beacon Pub for a quick game of pool and a taste of the best local beers.
The Dubh Linn Gate is, of course, a must-stop pub on any Whistler bar crawl. The live Irish band is sure to get everyone in the mood to party. And the Dubb Linh Gate take drinking as seriously as the Irish do – which means lots of good beer, lots of friendly faces, and lots of good times.

Provided you’ve made from apres to 11pm, it’s time to get serious about Whistler’s party scene. For a small ski town, Whistler has a hell of a party scene. With five nightclubs and countless bars, you’re never short of choices to dance the night away. During the week, most nights belong to one club.
On Monday its FVCK MONDAYS at Maxx Fish, with local DJs playing all the hottest new tunes. Tuesday is house and bass at Tommy Africa’s, one of Whistler’s oldest night clubs. Buffalo Bill’s Industry night is the place to be on Wednesday. And Thursday is Whistler’s longest running Locals Night at Garfs. On the weekend, the world is your oyster – take your pick from bumping nights at all of Whistler’s nightclubs, and see where the night takes you.

They have plenty of vegan and gluten-free options, including an unbelievable vegan chocolate strawberry cake. Other great options are ice-cream cakes from Dairy Queen, or a homemade cake from Nesters Market.
